Why you should have your website translated by pros

Because the translator is familiar with your target market.

It makes sense to have your website professionally translated. After all, it takes customers less than 6 seconds to decide whether they like a website. Whether the relevant information is there. Whether they stay or move on. That’s why every word has to be right. In every language. It is also important that the content is localised, i.e. adapted to the linguistic and local customs of the target market.
In addition, the tone of the translation should match the corporate identity of your company, otherwise an important distinguishing feature of your company will be lost – the be-all and end-all of marketing. So it’s about more than just accurate translations, more than just linguistic expertise. Certainly a good reason to use a professional translation agency for your website translations.

Have your website translated in three steps

Simple and efficient.

1. Analysis and evaluation: All we need is a link to your website. We will then analyse your website and provide you with a non-binding quote, including the estimated processing time.

2. Have your website translated: Content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla! speed up the text export process. You can either provide us with the texts to be translated or we can take care of the export ourselves. To do this, however, we need access to your CMS. The texts then go directly to the translator. We optimise the keywords that are important for SEO directly during translation, if requested by you.

3. Import: As soon as all texts have been translated and you approve them, you can import them via your content management system. Of course, we can also do this for you. If you notice any errors or unattractive wording, there is an additional correction loop before the texts are imported. Lastly, there is a final check of the layout including adjustments, if requested by you.

And voilà! Your perfectly translated and localised website is ready.

Communicate locally. Act globally.

If you want to conquer new markets, you must not be misunderstood. That’s why many of our native-speaking specialist translators live in your customers’ countries. So when you have your website translated by us, the translations are more than just accurate. They also strike the right cultural tone.

As a translation service provider, we see time and time again that those who know the local customs and can cater to them will be even more successful globally.

Have online shops or similar websites translated

The expansion of your e-commerce. Fast and affordable.

Product databases and clear product descriptions are two elements of successful e-commerce. By having your website translated efficiently and with database support, you can also update all the information about your product range more quickly. This means that the products in your online shop are also available more quickly internationally. And that, of course, means more sales.

We also adapt text elements such as cancellation policies and order processes locally so that the expansion of your business runs smoothly.

Our translation agency ensures that your texts and your online shop as a whole meet the standards in the respective target market.

SEO translations

Being found is half the battle.

You have a great website? Congratulations! But how do potential clients in other countries find out about it? By incorporating search engine optimisation into the translation – with the help of relevant keywords and meta information. Make yourself easier to find by having your website translated. How does Google see your website?

Ask Browseo!

If you want to have websites translated, you should make sure that the translator also understands SEO. SEO, in turn, requires an understanding of how search engines see your website and how the algorithm ranks your website. An excellent tool for the former is Browseo, a specialised browser for professional SEO, developed by Jonathan Schikowski and Paul Piper.

International Google Ads campaigns

Promote your website abroad.

The first step to successful international advertising: Google Ads campaigns (until 2018, Google Ads was still called AdWords). Keywords and localisation are also extremely important here – as is a structured approach to translating your website. This is because customers search for your products using very different terms and combinations of terms depending on the country and target language. And you need to know them. Just like our native-speaker translators on site. Not only do people in different countries enter different word combinations, but the way search engines respond can also be very different.

According to this study by Annelien Smets from the University of Brussels, in the Netherlands, for example, Google tends to answer search queries for restaurants primarily with restaurants in the city centre. In France, on the other hand, restaurants from the entire urban area are displayed for the same search query. If such local differences are not taken into account, this can drive up advertising costs. And this is precisely why it is worth having your website translated.

Formats and data exchange

You have had your website translated. But how does the text get onto the page?

You have had your website translated. But how does the text get onto the page? If it is based on HTML, XML or PHP, we can edit the texts directly in the files and then send them back fully translated. You will therefore receive the translation in the corresponding file format. If you use content management systems such as WordPress or TYPO3, this is also no problem. You can often export their content with just a few clicks and then import the translation again in no time at all.

If you are not sure whether we can process your documents and formats, simply contact us. Alternatively, we offer more information on the subject of formats and data exchange here.

There we explain which content management systems we are familiar with and link to instructions on how multilingual texts can be exported and imported in the various systems.
