How do you calculate the price of a translation?
We work using prices per line based on the source text. A standard line consists of 55 characters and we calculate as follows: Number of characters (including spaces) / 55 * price per line = net price for the translation (not incl. VAT). Fees for additional services, such as notarisation for example, are indicated separately in the quote.
How quickly can my translation be delivered?
The normal processing time for shorter texts with a standard difficulty level is approx. 2-3 weekdays as of assignment of the project. Alternatively, express delivery within 24 hours can also be requested. For larger projects, one working day is required for every 400 standard lines (55 keystrokes), with an additional 1-2 working days for internal review and coordination. The exact time period is indicated in your customised quote.
How can I send you my text to be translated?
Please send your source text with the subject “Translation request” by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or use our translation request form. For this purpose, please scan printed documents. We can process a variety of file formats: PDF, MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HTML, XML, Indesign and various others.
Can the price of my translation change later on?
No, because we calculate our fees based on the source text and clearly specify the conditions in our translation quote. The prices quoted are therefore fixed prices that you can rely on.
Do I have to pay anything for the quote?
No. By submitting your inquiry you do not enter into any obligation towards us. We will give you time to have a look at the details of our quote. We will only request payment once you have sent us an email confirmation.
